Aid for 5 young mothers and their children projekt Anna provides financial assistance to young single mothers and their offspring since 2007.
Experienced community workers, engaged by the pilot project “Chance” in Kaliningrad, care for these mothers.
Single mothers are a fringe group in Russia; they are often poorly trained, some of them are former intitutionalised children and, even by Russian standards, live in very poor housing conditions (e.g. garden cottage; one room of around 16 sq. meters for 4 people in former workers' hostels).
We provide financial relief for these women and their children since they receive very little pecuniary assistance from the state. Our support affords them the possibility to purchase the necessities for their children.
